Yay. I'm glad things worked out for Jackson, and that you're happy with it.
I definitely hear you on the learning about yourself thing. I've learned so much with Wave too, like that I keep letting her get away with stuff even when I don't know I'm doing it! It's not that I'm not bossy, it's that she can take advantage of me without me even knowing it. But with her, because she's not dangerous at all dealing with the little challenges helps my confidence. Sounds like that's what you need too, a nice reliable well-mannered horse whose idea of challenging is more along the lines of taking advantage of your inattention, not rearing :)
