The show Fatal Attractions on Animal Planet pisses me off. It's about people who keep wild and/or exotic animals as pets, think they have "special bonds" with them and subsequently take stupid risks with them, then OMG everyone is so shocked when they get hurt or killed! And then of course the animals pay the ultimate price for behaving like animals. Fuck I hate people.

Listen, if I get hurt or killed by an animal, I guarantee you IT IS MY FAULT! I don't care what the fuck the animal did, I'm the one who took a chance or didn't understand what the animal was trying to communicate to me or what the fuck ever, but it is NEVER the animal's fault. And the last thing in the world I would want is for me to get hurt or die from some interaction I had with an animal, and then have my upset family and friends punish my beloved animal for behaving exactly the way it was supposed to! I fucking hate how these people's precious pets have to die because the owner's circle of people are too fucking stupid to understand you can't take revenge on an animal.

Anyway, my point is to make this perfectly clear to anyone who knows me: Should I ever be hurt or killed by an animal, wild or domesticated, that animal is not to be harmed, ever!!! Nothing would make my ghost angrier than to know my own stupidity or carelessness or ignorance caused an animal to suffer unnecessarily, and I swear I will haunt the fuck out of anyone who tries to take vengeance on an animal for me. THE END.

Did anyone catch the episode of Hoarders with that nutjob "Sir Patrick"? I couldn't help but think this makes so much sense:

The way he talked about the dolls and that one that reminded him of a little girl who was "special" to him or whatever was just freaking creepy...

What's your guilty pleasure? I indulged in mine today while I stayed in bed sick with a cold: Project Runway.

I find it difficult to rationalize why I like this show. I have no interest in clothing design, fashion, sewing, modeling, or anything else related to these.

So why do I find it so damn entertaining? The fact that the contestants are all crazy characters? That the challenges are so ridiculous? That the clothes they make would almost certainly never be worn in real life? (although I suppose you could say that about all fashion shows). How they complain when they have to design clothes that will fit "real people" and not models? That they get into near catfights when they have to work together and don't agree with each others' ideas? Then comes the fun at the end when I start shouting at the TV because the judges inevitably choose some of the lamest/ugliest clothes or worst designers to win. Or the fact that Heidi Klum is a judge and her outfits are always hideous.

There's all this and more, and when it comes together I find myself glued to the screen. And then I feel embarassed for having not only watched it, but having thoroughly enjoyed it! I guess I just like all the drama involved in finding out who will be IN and who will be OUT. Thanks a lot, Bravo! =P

So, go ahead and fess up! What's your guilty pleasure?

I should have started watching this show sooner!

I was channel surfing and paused on a new show called "Funniest Pets and People" because I thought it might be mildly amusing in the vein of America's Funniest Home Videos or The Planet's Funniest Animals. And what do I hear? Rob Paulsen narrating all the videos!!! ^o^

There's no mistaking him, and the best part is he switches between all sorts of different voices for the show. I just love it when I suddenly hear Yakko even though Animaniacs is nowhere in sight. Of course I adore all of Rob's voices and accents. He's so incredibly talented, I could listen to this all day. ^_^ Oh and the videos aren't bad, either. ;)

This is going into my regular tv watching schedule!

(I also find this amusing because it means both of Animaniacs' Warner brothers are now announcers for similar tv shows. Jess Harnell, the guy who played Wakko, is the announcer on America's Funniest Home Videos. ^_~)

Stupid cold...anyway, I stayed home sick today. Out of boredom I watched "Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far" on Sci Fi. I've always heard about this show but have never seen it (even though people always rave about it) because from what I've been told you have to watch it from the beginning in order to understand anything. But I thought this recap episode would be a good way to skip over all that and see what all the hubbub is about. And, to my surprise (sci fi shows are hit or miss with me), it actually looks really interesting...I may just have to start watching this.

It's freaking COLD outside!! I was freezing tonight while I was closing at work. And I'm subbing trails half the day tomorrow, I'm going to freeze again. How can it be so bright and pretty outside and be this cold?? Eek.

There's a new episode of Monk on tonight! Did they advertise that at all? Last I heard they wouldn't have any new episodes until January. I'm glad my brother told me about it or I would have totally missed it. Well whatever, more Monk! Yay!

Ooh! I just saw an ad for Memoirs of a Geisha on tv. I LOVE that book. I shall have to see this movie. ^^

Oooh...another good one is coming out, The Producers. Gotta see that as well.

I knew it, UPN are a bunch of wusses. I was surprised when they said they'd start airing South Park, so I thought maybe they had become a little cooler than the other non-cable channels, but no. They pixelated out Ms. Choksondik's nipples *lol* Apparently cartoon nipples are a no-no for tv, even shows on at midnight. Cartoon blood and guts on the other hand, with Kenny getting splattered all over the road and whatnot, are still perfectly acceptable. I find this both ridiculous and amusing. They're even cutting out some of the dialogue; pathetic. Somehow I doubt they'll ever show the shit episode on this channel :p
