Yes, people can protest. But a lot of what gets to me is that most of the people bitching about the law don't even LIVE in Arizona, whereas a majority of those who DO live there support it. My favorite uncle and his family live there, and I can't imagine how awful it must be to live in constant fear of crime from an overwhelming population of illegals and drug runners, etc. the way they do.
While this law probably isn't the best way to go about doing something about the problem, at least it sends a message that something DOES need to be done. I can't blame them for trying to take matters into their own hands when the federal government has just sat around twiddling their thumbs and ignoring the problem.
