I have the worst canker sore EVER underneath my tongue. It hurts like hell and it's driving me crazy! I keep putting medicated stuff on it but nothing lasts very long. Go away stupid thing!!! >:(

Have you tried Abreva? That stuff worked well for me the last time I had one a couple years ago.

How's Josh?

I used to get canker sores every time I got my period. Because you know, anything to make that time of the month just a little bit more annoying, right? But when I started taking birth control they stopped.

There isn't really anything constructive in this comment, but I wanted you to know that I sympathize. =^)

I get them every time I either bite the inside of my mouth or eat way too much chocolate. I'd really hate it if I got them with every period! Right now I have two, one under my tongue probably from eating Christmas candy and one inside my lip from accidently biting it. =( It's the tongue one really bothering me because there's nothing I can do to avoid irritating it.

By the way, I'm so sorry to hear about your dress getting stolen! That's such a horrible thing to do! I'm glad you'll at least be able to get a replacement. I really hope nothing else goes wrong! I've been impatiently waiting to get mine; they told me 6-7 months so I won't even see it until Feb or March. >:(

Isn't that for cold sores, not canker sores?

He's doing better. I don't think his appetite is back to normal yet, but he did at least have the energy to go to work today. =)

Yes, but it took care of cankers too. Abreva is technically for cold sores, which is caused by a virus, but it works.

I should say last time I had one that was big. I get them every couple months, pop the damned things, which is gross, and it goes away within a day. My mouth heals freakishly fast.

But there was this one in Pacifica that as mondo.... So, in desperation, I decided to try Abreva. It stung, and I reapplied it in a light coat every few hours. And it was gone in a couple days.

Chocolate can actually cause cankers! Which sucks.

I don't know how it can take so long to get in a wedding dress. If I can make these things custom in days without a pattern, how can it take them such an insanely long time when they use patterns and then you still have to get the customizing done yourself?

If I ever get married, I'm making my own. Have you seen pics of some of my dresses? A few of them are here (http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/VictoriaRoseDesigns/). And my 'masterpiece' (http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/VictoriaRoseDesigns/Titanic%20Heaven%20Dress/Crystal/), which has 18,000 sequins and 23,000 crystals individually hand-sewn to yards of silk chiffon. I am feequently accused of being insane.

Freedom from canker sores

I used to get them whenever I bit the inside of my mouth etc as well. Also, whenever I ate grapefruit. I complained to my doctor about it once, and she wanted to know if I used listerine. She suggested I try using listerine regularly, which I did, and it made all the difference in the world. Now, I basically don't get canker sores at all. It was the greatest medical advice I ever got. I am totally devoted to listerine as a result of it freeing me from canker sores. I use it twice a day swishing it around in my mouth for 30 or 45 seconds each time (it only says 20, but I'm not taking any chances). Give it a shot.

I get canker and cold sores from both virus and eating anything sou. with too much vitamin c or citrus fruit. I also get them when sick or have my period. My doctor gave me Valtrex for them (their discusting big black horse pills) and it works, it's normally gone in a day. Also maybe try airborne?
