I dropped by Verizon today with the "new" phone they had sent (too late) to replace mine. It turns out by "new" they actually meant "refurbished." If I'm going to go to all the hassle of moving all my contacts and photos and media and whatever else to another phone, it should at least be to an acutal new phone! =P So instead I just had them replace my car charger with another one that worked and returned the "new" phone and kept mine.

After work I went out to get replacement corn oil and more fly traps for the horse. I looked at the mouse traps/poison there, but you know what? I can't do it. I can't kill some poor little innocent rodents who are just looking for something to eat and have as much (or more) right to be there than I do. The thought of me being responsible for littering the barn with rat and mouse corpses makes me sick. They didn't have any humane traps, but it wouldn't have done any good to get them if they did because the rats and mice are already living outside and would just come back if released. Also, who's the sick bastard who invented glue traps?? D= That psycho should be dragged out into the street and shot and those horrifying torture devices banned! Anyway, I decided rather than resort to killing animals, I'd just put all the horse's other foodstuffs in my metal garbage can with the grain. That way they can't get to it, and there's nothing in my tackbox that smells tasty for them to destroy, plus there won't be any real reason for them to stay in there.

Verizon did that to me too! With my LG Voyager. Battery was crap so the Fed-Ex'd me a "new" one. It said refurbished on the box AND one of the keys wouldn't light up. Refurbished my ass. I just went back to my old, trusty Env.

Totally agree with you on the glue traps. I find them completely horrifying! Don't see what's remotely humane about them.

I do my best to tolerate mice in the barn (i.e. cats), but in the house it's not possible. If you decide to try traps again in the future, the electric ones at least are super quick and aren't as messy as the regular kinds of traps.

It makes me happy that someone else cares for rodents like I do. :)
