Okay! Main computer is up and running again! It turns out that the CPU burned out; there's a nice big burn mark in the middle and that's what was making the smell. So phew, I have access to all my stuff again! AND RIGHT NOW I'M GOING TO BACK UP EVERY DAMN THING ON MY HARD DRIVES!!!

OMG, it was actually burning? I didn't know that could happen. Now I have something else to worry about. I'm glad to hear you got to all your stuff! I lost all my files when my old Mac died. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Waaaaah!! Great that you have everything up and running!
And ya know, if you back everything up, you might as well just burn them off and free up room on your HD. =.P
